25 Nations Warn Israel: “The War in Gaza Must End Now”
Twenty-five nations—including the UK, France, Canada, Australia, Japan, and EU members—have issued a joint statement condemning what they call the inhumane killing of Gaza civilians and a broken aid-distribution model. They describe the “drip feeding of aid” as stripping Palestinians of dignity and note that over 800 people have died while seeking food or water. The signatories demand Israel end its Gaza operations and comply with international humanitarian law, saying the crisis has reached new depths.
The condemnation comes amid escalating Israeli strikes, including one in Deir al-Balah where dozens died at an aid point—one of the deadliest days for civilians since the war began. The nations criticize Israel’s tight aid controls, warning they fuel instability and breach international obligations. They urge a ceasefire and a political path forward.
Israel rejected the statement, calling it disconnected from reality and blaming Hamas for prolonging the conflict. The U.S. and Germany did not sign, though Germany voiced concern. With Gaza’s humanitarian disaster worsening, the 25 nations are raising pressure on Israel to stop its offensive and open access to aid—marking the strongest joint rebuke from Western allies in the 21-month war.
